Before Industrial Treasures, our business operated for decades as Dewell & Dewell Incorporated, an industrial equipment company founded in 1986 in Batavia, Illinois.
Dewell & Dewell began in a small arctic military surplus quonset hut building in downtown Batavia. Ten years later we moved across town to a much larger facility in the former Lingren Foundry building on Mallory Avenue. In 2018, we relocated to our current warehouse and retail location in St. Charles, Illinois.
What began as an equipment sourcing enterprise for the vintage race car business we started in the 1970s gradually grew into a full-time business liquidation and industrial equipment venture.
Over the years we kept discovering fascinating and unusual items while working with companies that were closing, relocating, or liquidating equipment. Those finds eventually led us to open a retail showroom so we could share these interesting pieces with a wider audience.
That evolution became Industrial Treasures, our 8,000-square-foot vintage store located next to our warehouse in St. Charles.
Today Industrial Treasures carries vintage furniture, industrial artifacts, architectural salvage, artwork, lighting, collectibles, and one-of-a-kind items that continue the same spirit of discovery that defined Dewell & Dewell for more than 35 years.
Our mission remains simple:
Offer people the opportunity to purchase unusual and practical items that enrich their lives while giving great objects a second life through reuse and repurposing.
Many long-time customers still remember our former business name, Dewell & Dewell, which served the industrial equipment community in the Fox Valley area for more than three decades.
