Warner, West Troy Stoneware Jug

Salt-glazed stoneware jug stamped Warner, West Troy, placing it with the 19th-century stoneware potteries of West Troy, New York. Gray stoneware body with hand-applied cobalt blue slip-trailed floral decoration along the shoulder and body, showing the loose, freehand style typical of the period.

Strap handle at the neck, narrow pour spout, and a wood cork stopper. Surface shows small pitting and a glaze stain near the shoulder consistent with age and use. No chips or cracks noted.
